Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for the quarterly, and annual, statutory reserving and reporting for the UK Life Branch for
local and group accounting.
Presenting quarterly findings at the Reserving Committee.
Responsible for the calculation of the Solvency II technical provisions for the UK Life Branch using
appropriate actuarial techniques in line with Solvency II and Group requirements.
Responsible for the technical provisions inputs in the group and local Pillar 3 returns.
Perform regular experience analyses (actual vs expected monitoring).
Complying with key regulatory and risk management procedures,.
Take an active role in the creation of annual business planning and reforecasting for Life business.
Assist in the implementation of, and responsible for the ongoing actuarial inputs to, IFRS 17 for UK life
branch.
Educational Requirements:
Qualified Actuary or working towards qualification
Maintaining current knowledge of relevant market issues
Skills and Qualifications
Qualified Actuary with good knowledge of life actuarial techniques and models
Experience Required
Prophet modelling or experience of cashflow projection
