Claims Adjuster

We are currently recruiting for a Global Reinsurance business who are looking for Claims Adjusters to join their UK claims team based in either London or West Sussex on a hybrid basis.

The claims department currently consists of around 30 employees spread across all 3 offices and these vacancies are to grow the team following an exciting period of expansion within the business. If you are looking to work your way up the ladder, this role provides plenty of opportunity to develop as the business does!

Role

• Handle own case load; analyse critical data and factual reports; set appropriate reserves; assist in the negotiation of settlements directly with Cedants; and, be comfortable with making and supporting own decisions
• Update claims file by accurately capturing and updating claims data/information in compliance with best practices
• Compile clear and concise written and verbal reports to senior management
• Maintain good working relationships with all the relevant parties; Cedants, Brokers, Co-Reinsurers and Legal Representatives, in the handling and analysis of Cedant’s reinsurance claim
  exposures
• Ensure all policy obligations are met and Customers are Treated Fairly
• Comply with and ensure all compliance requirements, maintain confidentiality at all times, as well as serve as company representative to model, enforce and abide by all company policies
• Deliver on objectives set
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as needed
• Contribute to profitable growth by providing risk insight, information and trends/emerging risks
• Assist in the audits of Cedants and other parties as required, including due diligence
• Liaise with actuarial, finance and operations, as required
• Keep abreast of any Legal, Regulatory or Medical developments
• Report as necessary to the Head of Claims any important developments, issues and trends

Experience

• Experience within the Insurance market – 5 years +
• Experience handling claims – 3 years +

Salary – Up to £45,000 + 15% bonus

Working pattern – x2 days required in the office per week

Hours – 9 – 5pm (can offer flexibility on this)
