Senior Account Executive

We are working with an emerging independent insurance broker in East Sussex who following exceptional growth, have a newly created role to join them on a hybrid basis as a Senior Account Executive.

Our client is renowned for providing bespoke solutions to customers in the public eye due to their modern age approach to broking, along with a broad spectrum of insurance covers like Property Owners, Liability, Fleet, Professional Indemnity, HNW etc.

Since launching the business, they have secured c. £2m in GWP resulting in the first hire of an account handler and earlier this year moved into a new office in a beautiful location to support the growth of the company.

You would be fundamental to the success and story of the company so someone with entrepreneurial spirit is key!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inheriting and looking after a portfolio of key and complex clients whilst working closely with the MD to secure New Business
  • Take ownership of existing clients through handover, relationship building and engagement
  • Work efficiently on achieving retention, new business and cross selling
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both client and insurer:
    • Prospect new leads
    • Client visits
    • Identification of needs
    • Negotiation and presentation to insurers in order to secure most appropriate cover for the client
    • Presentation of recommendations and cover to the client
  • Delegate work to and supervise an Account Handler
  • Attend industry and networking events

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of Commercial Insurance Products
  • Passionate and positive with a can-do attitude
  • Confident carrying out face to face meetings and manual market presentations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Self driven and motivated
  • Full UK Driving licence
