Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Travel Claims Handler to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage claims end-to-end, from initial notification through to final settlement
- Handle complex, high-value, and sensitive claims with full ownership
- Act as a key contact for VIP clients, providing clear updates and support throughout the process
- Assess claims in line with policy terms, client requirements, and regulatory standards
- Authorise claims within delegated authority and refer complex cases where required
- Clearly communicate claim outcomes, including detailed explanations for declines
- Manage workload effectively to meet service level agreements and turnaround times
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to support efficient claims resolution
- Provide technical support to colleagues and assist with team productivity
- Support training and development of team members and wider teams
- Contribute to reporting, claims analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements
- Handle appeals and complaints in line with internal procedures
- Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage workload independently and as part of a team
- Professional and confident approach when dealing with customers and stakeholders
- Strong customer service focus
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Desirable Skills:
- 3–5 years’ experience in travel or related claims
- Experience handling complex or high-value claims
- Exposure to fraud detection and/or recoveries
- Experience supporting or training team members
- Additional language skills (advantageous)
