The FJN Cup final is just a day away! Weeks of planning and we are nearly there!
The idea of running a game of football was hatched last year when I had enough of being locked down and not able to see our lovely clients for so long. The first game was a rip roaring success and fitted in nicely between lockdowns which was a real bonus. Everyone fed back to us so positively that we decided to do another game but to add a charity element to help benefit others.
The next game was rearranged a couple of times due to threat of more lockdowns and government guidelines but finally took place in March 2022. We raised over £1,000 for two charities and had a great laugh in the spring sunshine.
So, onto tomorrow. This game has been the hardest to arrange due to a number of different circumstances but all has come together nicely in the end and we look to have been lucky with the weather for the third game running.
We have brand new shiny kits for this game which have been kindly sponsored by our good friends at Global Benefits Group and Health & Protection (as modelled below by Juliet). The kits look great but we cannot promise the quality of play will be able to match this. We have an eclectic blend of age and talent on show and the game should be good fun to watch and take part in.
The trophy, pictured below, is being sponsored by One Claim Ltd who are a leading claims management group. Jon Day will present the trophy to the winning team on behalf of One Claim.
The main point of this game, aside from getting everyone together to have some fun, is to raise much needed funds and awareness for Wolfram UK. Wolfram UK is an independent charity based in West Sussex. The charity is run by a great team of people who are all pulling together to make sure that people who suffer with Wolfram Syndrome, and also the families that support the individuals concerned, are well looked.
