Morning sports fans!!!
Only 10 days until our annual FJN Solutions cup, as sponsored by Definite Article Media, takes place at Horsham FC. This is our 6th 11 a side game in aid of our charity of choice, Wolfram Syndrome UK . It is fair to say that a huge amount of awareness, and funds, have been raised since we first kicked a ball together back in March 2021. The team photo of our first ever game is the 1st picture below…. (some are still playing)
Also pictured below is last year’s team photo and the player of the match awards to the legends that are Steve Thomson and Rob Baird. If you can be bothered to scroll further, you will also see the world famous Howie the Hornet who, if rumours are true, may make an appearance this year…. 🟡🟢🐝
Unfortunately for me, a torn MCL means I will not be participating this year so the goalkeeping duties will be passed to another safe set of hands. I will be a very vocal manager/supporter/cheerleader from the sidelines though and will be helping the Wolfram team.
Gates open at 1pm (the bar will be open), kick off is 2pm, post match drinks in the club house after the game and then Monte Forte – Neapolitan Pizza from 5.30pm onwards for those who want to sit down and reminisce about their amazing performance…..
We really hope as many of you as possible can make the afternoon / evening and can support this amazing charity. There will be a charity bucket so please go via the cash point en route (there is one at Hop Oast cash garage which is 2 minutes from the ground).
