We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Account Exec to join our clients growing New Business team. This role focuses on handling and converting new business enquiries for SME and commercial clients, typically up to £25,000 premium.
You’ll work across a broad range of commercial risks and play a key role in driving new business growth while delivering excellent service and maintaining compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Handling inbound new business enquiries and referrals from existing clients and colleagues
Quoting and placing a variety of SME and commercial risks
Dealing with outbound activity, including:
Following up previously quoted enquiries
Contacting lapsed and previously lost business
Working across multiple classes of business including:
Shops & Offices
Property Owners
Employers’ & Public Liability
Professional Indemnity
Construction
Ensuring all work is completed in line with compliance and regulatory requirements
Contributing to team targets and overall new business growth
Experience & Skills Required
Minimum 3+ years’ commercial insurance experience
Strong knowledge of core commercial products (liability, property, SME packages, etc.)
Confident handling new business from initial enquiry through to placement
Comfortable with both inbound enquiries and proactive outbound follow-up
Organised, driven, and motivated by targets
Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Working Arrangements
New starters are expected to work in the office five days per week for a minimum of the first six weeks for training, integration with the team, and understanding the business culture and processes
