Commercial Account Handler x 2

We are working with a global broking business who are expanding significantly within the UK and are on the hunt for Commercial Account Handlers to join their offices in East Sussex on a hybrid basis.

As a Commercial Account Handler, you would predominantly service an existing customer base looking after your own clients and assisting Account Executives on other accounts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be proactive at all times in seeking to maximise business opportunities with existing and potential new customers
  • Manage the daily workflow ensuring activity is being optimised and that customers receive a high level of service
  • Report client complaints in accordance with the Company complaints procedure
  • Manage areas of responsibility so that a positive contribution is made to achieving Company sales forecasts, plans, programmes and budgets
  • Develop good communications with all other areas of the business within the Group and with customers
  • Negotiate with underwriters in placing, amending or renewing clients’ insurance programmes
  • Ensure all documentation associated with placing, amending or renewing clients’ insurance policies is completed in a reasonable timescale and is accurate
  • Assist customers in reporting claims to insurers
  • Provide risk advice/risk management/risk prevention information to customers, in conjunction with underwriters as appropriate
  • Contribute towards the development of a high company image of professionalism, competence and customer satisfaction
  • Assist when required with the Accounts function of the business in carrying out credit control with relevant customers
  • Any other duties as required by your Directors or Commercial Account Executives, in accordance with the nature of this position

 

Knowledge required:

  • Principles, practices and legalities of the major classes in General Insurance
  • UK General Insurance market
  • Underwriting and rating factors
  • FCA regulations
  • Complaints procedures

 

Office Location: Multiple in East Sussex, parking on site – 3 days in the office per week

Hours:  Monday to Friday, 9 – 5pm
