Following significant growth within the business, there is now a need for a new compliance monitoring department to be created and these two vacancies will be the first in the team, reporting directly to the Senior Compliance Manager. You will be the linchpins in the department and will have great influence on how the team grows and flourishes.
Role
The Compliance Monitoring Team, part of the wider conduct and compliance regulatory risk management framework, is responsible for providing assurance to senior management that compliance, regulatory and conduct risk exposure is minimised through the appropriate controls. Compliance Monitoring undertake assurance reviews across all business units to identify, assess and report on the status of any conduct and regulatory compliance risks in the business, and provide an opinion on how well they are managed.
Compliance Assurance Officers take responsibility for the completion of various types of assurance activity, including the planning, testing and reporting of regulatory, compliance and conduct risks and assessing how effectively they are managed. This is primarily done by undertaking Compliance Reviews. Responsibilities will also include, assessing and tracking agreed action plans through to completion, and identifying process improvements, both within compliance and the wider business.

Experience and Skills
- Must have experience working for an insurance business within compliance
- Atleast 4 years experience working within 2nd line of compliance defence
- Must be adept at writing quality reports and going into granular detail
- Internal auditing history desirable but would consider someone with external auditing background
- Strong FCA regulatory knowledge
- Individuals need to be confident communicators, articulate when relaying information and instructions verbally and in writing
- Good attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Great stakeholder/senior leader rapport building and relationship management
Salary – Up to £55,000
Working pattern – Hybrid, x3 days in the office and x2 from home. 15% of the role will require travel to other offices
