An exciting opportunity has come up with one of our long term clients who have created a new position for a Senior Account Executive to join them on a hybrid basis following successful growth within the business!
Your role would involve inheriting an existing book of business from one of the directors (GWP from £10k – £1m), along with developing a pipeline and driving growth and income through prospecting and winning new business. The company has recently launched a new industrial insurance product and their is a pipeline of c. £15m for the executive to target, so experience or an interest in this type of insurance would be beneficial! As this is a Senior role, you would be expected to manage your own time, being able to report progress/results to the Director as and when required, and split your time effectively between home working, being on the road visiting clients and attending the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of existing clients through handover, relationship building and engagement
- Ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both client and insurer:
- Prospect new leads
- Client visit/initial contact
- Identification of needs
- Negotiation and presentation to insurers in order to secure most appropriate cover for the client
- Presentation of recommendations and cover to the client
- Closing the sale and ensuring cover is on risk
- Securing cross selling business and referrals
- Monitor own sales performance in line with targets and manage client portfolio
- Delegate work to and supervise an Account Handler
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of Commercial Insurance Products
- Proven sales track record
- Confident carrying out face to face meetings and manual market presentations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self driven and motivated
- Full UK Driving licence
