The Role

Job Title – Employee Benefits Consultant

Responsibilities

– You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Healthcare and Group Risk clients of all shapes and sizes.

– You will be focused on ensuring the client feels supported at all times, providing advice and recommendations at renewal.

– You will be expected to cultivate client relationships, building high levels of trust and deliver fantastic service.

– You will be providing accurate reports containing renewal information, market review and recommendations.

– Mentoring of other colleagues will be required with a view to supporting the overall strategy for training and development across the business

– Completion of data entry onto the CRM system

– Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

– Excellent relationship management with the Company’s sales, client services team, and account management personnel within insurers and other providers

– Effectively negotiating premiums with the holding insurer and alternative insurers to obtain good value outcomes for customers in line with their requirements

– Delivery of additional revenue growth through cross selling opportunities

– To operate in accordance with the company’s quality standards at all times and ensure that high quality outcomes are delivered for customers

– Imparting your knowledge to less experienced members of the team and assisting with training

Essential criteria

  • Experience within the company paid private medical insurance (SME) market and/or Group Risk market
  • Experience building relationships and understanding client needs and requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of building excellent relationships with insurer/providers, client services and account managers
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office programmes and CRM systems
  • Minimum of Cert CII or willingness to study towards qualification
  • A proven ability to negotiate successfully on behalf of customers to deliver renewal targets
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly, strong telephone manner
  • Well organised and able to respond well under pressure
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Work well as part of a team as well as being able to work using own initiative
  • Copes well with change, internally within the business and externally within the market
