FJN, what does it mean???

Since we rebranded last week, I have been asked the question ‘what does FJN stand for?’ on numerous occasions.

So, what does it mean???

The answer is that it stands for ‘Finlay, Juliet & Neve’.  My wife and two kids.  Naming a business is a tough thing to do, particularly when you have been tied to another business name for 18 years.  I wanted to make it as personal and unique as possible so what better way of doing this than naming it after the three things that inspire and drive me the most.  I should also add that the company name does have the backing of Stuart and Chloe which was a huge part of the decision-making process.

FJN was set up originally in January 2019 as part of a MBO initiative when changing the structure of our old business.  The intention was to settle down as a standalone business for 2019 as Synchronicity, and then to rebrand everything to FJN in 2020.  The plans were all set and ready to go for an exciting year ahead.

The start of 2020 was a shocker for me on a personal level with family issues and then a covid shaped pandemic came knocking.  The plans to rebrand and change everything had to be put on hold as I did not want to risk renaming the business after the three most important people in my life if it would go under within months.  I also did not want our new brand to be connected to what was a very doom and gloom year that no one will ever forget.

So, on to 2022.  Despite a precarious start with lockdown and furlough at the beginning of last year, 2021 was a great year for us, so we thought let’s get this rebrand back on track for 2022.

FJN was officially launched on 1st February 2022.  The fact that we had the opportunity to move into our new office at the same time has given us a completely fresh and reinvigorated start to 2022.

It has been a completely manic and chaotic start to 2022 but we are now fully up and running and looking forward to an exciting year ahead under our new brand and in our new office.  We hope to be speaking with and seeing as many of you as possible in the coming weeks and months.
