A very good friend of ours at Synchronicity Insurance has taken the opportunity to take a positive from 2020 and to write a book based around his experiences of following Brighton & Hove Albion. From The Gutter To The Stars, is Simon Medhurst’s view on life following the trials and tribulations of his beloved team – he will also be raising funds for MacMillan in the process. After a hard slog, a lot of time and a significant investment by yours truly, it’s almost here and ready to be go. The book is a detailed memoir documenting the rise of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club from the turn of the Millennium to the end of May 2019.
It is jammed packed of fun stories and also gives a little insight into my personal life as it documents how we as a family have dealt with our ups, downs and illness during the period of Albion’s uprising. Sadly my Mum Ann, my wife Jane and sister Sasha have had to battle against breast cancer. I talk openly about these three very brave and special ladies plus how we have handled our family cancer battles.
The book should appeal to any football fan, particularly fellow Brighton supporters and/or anyone that knows me. Please support the cause as all proceeds will be going MacMillan, a brilliant charity who looked after Jane so well in her hours of desperate need.
